The Governor's Awards in Support of the Arts

Governor Jim DoyleIn Wisconsin, we have a high quality of life, and we work hard to maintain it. Part of that is being able to provide our residents with a wealth of diverse visual and performing arts experiences. The contributions of our artists and arts groups help enhance the quality of life in our communities, making Wisconsin a better place to live, work, and do business.

Each fall, Jessica and I welcome the State's most generous arts supporters to the Executive Residence for a ceremony to present the Governor's Awards in Support of the Arts. We are pleased to recognize these outstanding patrons, and express on behalf of the state our appreciation for their work to expand the artistic opportunities available to Wisconsin residents.

Honorable Jim Doyle
Governor, State of Wisconsin
